The President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, welcomed Dr. Mohammad Reza Hasani Ahankar, President of Imam Hussein University in Iran, along with his accompanying delegation.
Prof. Dr. Sabah stated that the University of Karbala has signed numerous scientific cooperation and understanding agreements with prestigious international universities, including institutions in the United Kingdom, France, and Iran.
He emphasized that fostering international collaboration aligns with the vision of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, which aims to enhance engagement with academic institutions worldwide and benefit from their research expertise.
For his part, Dr. Mohammad Reza Hasani Ahankar praised the University of Karbala for its diverse academic disciplines and specialized research centers, particularly in strategic and environmental studies. He expressed Imam Hussein University’s keen interest in leveraging the research and scientific expertise of the University of Karbala to strengthen its academic and research capabilities.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, accompanied by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Mohammed, led the visiting delegation on a field tour of student-led projects completed as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
As part of the visit, the University of Karbala and Imam Hussein University signed a Memorandum of Scientific Cooperation, aimed at enhancing academic partnership and advancing the scientific and research landscape of both institutions.
