With regional and international universities, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, signed a scientific Memorandum of Understanding with Iran’s University of Kashan, represented by its President, Dr. Behzad Soltani.
The signing of this memorandum comes as a result of the efforts of the University of Karbala’s Division of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, under the supervision and follow-up of the Division Director, Assistant Professor Dr. Hawraa Jabbar Rahi Al-Kuraity. Dr. Al-Kuraity emphasized that this agreement represents an important step in the University’s pursuit of building bridges for scientific and cultural communication with prestigious universities in the region and around the world.
The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation in joint scientific research, exchange academic expertise, provide joint supervision of theses and dissertations, facilitate student and faculty exchanges, and organize joint conferences and scientific workshops.
Dr. Al-Kuraity also highlighted that the Division of Scholarships and Cultural Relations continually works to expand the University’s international network and activate programs for global cooperation, contributing to the advancement of academic and research standards and supporting the University’s vision of academic openness and institutional development.
For his part, the President of the University of Kashan, Dr. Behzad Soltani, expressed his pride in signing the memorandum, appreciating the efforts of the University of Karbala in developing academic relations, and reaffirming his university’s commitment to expanding scientific cooperation in ways that serve the higher education journey in both countries.
