The University of Karbala, through the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, organized a specialized training course titled “Introduction to Diplomatic English.”
The course was delivered by the Head of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hawraa Jabbar Rahi, with the aim of enhancing the staff’s skills in writing official letters and emails in professional diplomatic English, as well as strengthening the linguistic and cultural competencies necessary to succeed in an evolving international environment.
The course included practical examples of letters and emails, focusing on the appropriate and diplomatic use of the English language in communication with international partners. It also addressed the importance of linguistic accuracy and professionalism in drafting formal correspondence.
This initiative is part of the University of Karbala’s ongoing efforts to enhance the language and cultural skills of its employees and to improve the quality of services provided in the field of scholarships and international relations.
