Dr. Hawraa Jabbar Rahi Al-Kreiti, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, participated in a ministerial training course on QS ranking standards. The course was held at the University of Kalkamish in Baghdad from September 22 to 23, 2025, and was delivered by Professor Dr. Tarek El-Kholy, Director of the International Ranking Center and Head of Central Research Units from the Arab Republic of Egypt, who highlighted the latest updates in academic ranking criteria.
The course was also attended by Professor Dr. Anwar Subhi Al-Jubouri, President of the University of Kalkamish, and Dr. Asil Hadi Mahmoud, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who emphasized the importance of Iraqi universities adhering to international standards to enhance their global standing.
During the training sessions, the core criteria required for colleges and universities to qualify for this prestigious ranking were presented, aiming to strengthen the quality of education and research in Iraqi academic institutions.
